The West Coast Challenge Tournament is played over four of the finest Links Courses along the Wild Atlantic Way:

Donegal, Bundoran, Strandhill, Enniscrone

Each Course is situated against the magnificent rolling seascapes and mountain background of Donegal and Sligo and provides a superb test of a golfer’s skills. Further information with regard to Tournament Rules, Time Sheet and Prizes are detailed on our website www.westcoastchallenge.ie

The Tournament, a three person Team Competition (any combination) is confined to amateur golfers. Individual golfers are very welcome and the Organising Committee will endeavour to assign you to a team. Each competitor plays 18 holes over each Course on successive days.

Competitors will be required to provide their WHS numbers/handicaps.

DONEGAL GOLF CLUB

 

The Championship Links Course at Donegal Golf Club, on the breath-taking Murvagh peninsula, offers golfers of all abilities an enjoyable experience. The course is set over dunes formed by the might of the Atlantic Oceanand allows players to take in the spectacular panoramic views of Donegal Bay and the Bluestack Mountains. British Open Champion and Club Member Darren Clarke has described the course as “One of my favourite courses in the world.”

STRANDHILL GOLF CLUB

 

Strandhill is an exciting links course where golfers are guaranteed not only a wonderful golfing experience but also truly spectacular views of the coastline. The course is surrounded by spectacular landscapes steeped in history and mythology and which have been immortalised in the writings of WB Yeats. The Atlantic breezes, towering sand dunes and the spectacular backdrops of mystical Knocknarea and the wild Atlantic crashing onto the shores makes playing golf at Strandhill an experience not to be missed.

BUNDORAN GOLF CLUB

 

Bundoran Golf Club, founded in 1894, one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland, is a cliff top links on a rugged headland jutting out into Donegal Bay on the Wild Atlantic Way. Set against the background of the magnificent Dartry Mountains our golfer friendly Course, situated in the town, has panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and should the wind blow it will present a challenge to all golfers

ENNISCRONE GOLF CLUB

 

Enniscrone Golf Club has some of the largest most formidable sand dunes on the island of Ireland. The links offers golfers stunning views of Killala Bay, the Moy Estuary, Bartragh Island and the Nephin and Ox Mountain ranges, as well as the surrounding west Sligo countryside. For a raw links experience, Enniscrone is hard to beat. A Quality design on unique links land and a warm welcome all combine to make the dunes course at Enniscrone a must-play.
